THE WEDDING AND WEDDING SINGING AMONG THE MACEDONIANS FROM MALA PRESPA

Summary/Abstract: The paper shows that the wedding rites of the Macedonians in Mala Prespa are similar or almost identical to the wedding rites of the entire Macedonian area. Remains of the former rights and duties of the members of the village community, as well as the old beliefs of a magical and religious character, are deposited in the entire wedding ritual complex. The songs that were selected represent only a small part of my further research related to the rich musical-folkloric tradition of the Macedonians in Mala Prespa, which is distinguished by its uniqueness and musical folkloric expression.
