Summary/Abstract: In the text, following the different aspects of folklore, we tried to see the processes that mark the traditional culture that relates to water. The research aimed to show the concept of water in songs related to women’s ritual processions. The relationship between women and water was explored through speech formulas, song motifs and ritual actions, and we noted that the desire for a good crop, fertility and well-being, lies at the base of the model. It shows us the relationship of water with family and social life in traditional culture, where the relationship between the girl and water is constructed as analogous to the relationship of man with nature. Of course, here some questions remain only posed, but I think the text provides a number of answers to the topics and it introduces and gives a good direction for further research.
