Electronic e-ffects in Romanian oratorios

Summary/Abstract: The genre of oratorio in Romanian music uses in its musical expression, more often than not, a classical type of instrumentation: the orchestra, the choir and the soloists. The electronic effects – pre-recorded magnetic tape, synthesizer, electronic modulations – appear in a small number of works, as they belong to experimentation. Timbral enrichment determined by the use of electronic effects represents the greatest gain of such works composed by Dinu Petrescu, Remus Georgescu or Mihaela Stănculescu Vosganian.
