Summary/Abstract: There are many natural and man-made disasters in the world at different times and in different regions. One of these disasters is the epidemic called COVID-19. This epidemic, which emerged in China in 2019, has been effective worldwide and has caused the death of millions of people. Both central and local governments have made great efforts to overcome this disease or at least reduce its impact. The activities of Bursa Municipality and some other municipalities to deal with this problem constitute the main subject of this study. The emergency plan of the municipalities in Bursa, the formation of teams during the quarantine process, their cancellation of some collective events such as concerts, excursions, art events, ceremonies, and other measures they took are explained in this article.
