Summary/Abstract: Banking regulation and prudential supervision made by National Bank of Romania led to performances in the Romanian banking system. Early monitoring mechanisms of the credit risk will focus to prevent a significant deterioration in credit quality. According to the National Bank of Romania reports, is presented the situation regarding banking supervision in 2016. Banking regulation and prudential supervision ensure the management of particularly important structures (risk management and risk control, internal audit, compliance, treasury, lending, as well as any other activities that may expose the credit institution to significant risks).
