Summary/Abstract: Accounting provides information that is useful in making decisions within an entity. We make decisions every day. Some are simple, others are not as simple, but all these decisions have something in common: a decision-making process. The performance of any economic system depends on the quality of the decisions, the speed with which they act to eliminate the causes in this context. For the decisions taken to be good, the decision-making process must be grounded. In practice, managerial decision-making includes comparing competing alternatives and choosing those that best meet the entity's needs.
