Summary/Abstract: The authors present the back story for the para-documentary movie “Memories from city L.” Its creators, Monika Kowalewska, Grzegorz Kowalski and Zbigniew Sejwa used the oral history method to recreate the life stories of former inhabitants of Gorzów Wielkopolski, which until the end of World War II was a German town of Landsberg. Personal childhood memories are intertwined with historical events.
