Summary/Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic generated risks and uncertainties that are difficult to manage both for banks and their customers. The Central banks in the European monetary area have taken several measures aimed at: supporting the flow of credit to the real economy, lowering interest rates, providing liquidity through established instruments, etc. This research presents the dynamics of the main indicators calculated and monitored by the Central Credit Register, as well as the measures taken by the National Bank of Romania, which ensure the prudential supervision of credit institutions within the Romanian banking system.
