Summary/Abstract: The Szczecińsko-Kamieńska metropolis are three higher seminaries in Paradyż (since 1952, before it existed in Gorzow Wielkopolski in the years 1947 to 1961), Szczecin and Koszalin (both from 1981). Their way of entering into the structure of the university was long and complicated, and so: Paradyż – since 1989 operated under the Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Wrocław, and since 1998 at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, Koszalin – since 1984 at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Szczecin – since 1994 at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań; from the academic year 2003/2004 all seminars in the structure of the metropolis became the Faculty of Theology, University of Szczecin. Of the four forms of priestly formation: human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral certainly strengthen the party underwent an intellectual, and pastoral was matched to the needs of practical preparation for ministry, primarily catechetical. While the human and spiritual remains were carried by the guidelines of the Church. A noticeable decline in priestly vocations and the 277 (in the academic year 2003/2004) to 174 (2010/2011), is the result of contemporary reality – very secular in which young people do not want to give up his freedom, and also lack the spirit of renunciation and emotional stability. From the various attempts to remedy this situation, reducing the number of students clergy, is heavily accented the model from Paradyż, based on the individual and personal treatment for clerics, and is considering propaedeutic year, which is likely to be implemented in academic year 2011/2012.
