Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this paper is to identify and explain the most common ways of greeting and introducing people into Romanian and the best teaching strategies used to persuade the foreign students to learn and use them effectively in their daily life and in a Romanian speaking environment. We are going to discuss different definitions and approaches, highlithing the main functions that the language has, the stereotype characteristics and the complexity of these ways of greeting and introducing people in Romanian.
