Summary/Abstract: The aim of the work is to perform an analysis of certain crimes related to property threats. To analyse the methods and tactics of detection and investigation of the types of criminal offenses under research and on the basis of a detailed study of the peculiarities of the committing of the criminal offenses under research, to develop effective and upto-date methods of their identification. The following scientific research methods have been used in the development of the work: the teleological method of interpretation; the comparative method; the method of analysis and synthesis; the methods of induction and deduction; the modelling method. Main conclusions: the main problems in the field of the detection and prevention of crime over the last 30 years are that most criminalistics concepts run far behind the requirements of the modern era; changes in tactics related to identification and detection of property crimes have been largely technical in nature, they are lacking a sufficiently high level of theoretical basis to take into account modern technologies used to commit crimes and significantly changed structure of criminalistics characterisation of criminal offenses.
