Summary/Abstract: The village of Prokosovici is located on the territory of the municipality of Lukavac and is located on the shore of the largest hydro reservoir Modrac (water management facility of this type) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The survey of the ornithofauna of Prokosovici was conducted in the spring-summer period of 2021. During the research, the presence of 42 species of birds from 12orders and 26 families was recorded. For the area of about 4 km2 or 402.12 ha. where bird watching was done, this represents a large number. The great degradation of the investigated area, where the negative influence of the anthropogenic factor in the past and nowadays is continuously extremely pronounced, imposes the necessity of monitoring the state of the living world.
