Summary/Abstract: Since time immemorial, people have been joining communities. The organization of life through village communities during medieval Bosnia and later during the period of the Ottoman administration of Bosnia was reflected in solving various needs, and above all in satisfying and easier way of life. The life of people in the area of Pauc and beyond took place in smaller rural communities (settlements-villages). With the arrival of the Ottoman Empire in these areas, population censuses were carried out. The first census was carried out in 1468/69. Later, several periodic censuses were organized. Those censuses also included the population that lived in the settlements - villages in this area. This paper will present several smaller villages from the Ottoman period in the area of today's village of Pauc. It is important to note that the names used here for those villages are in the spoken communication of Paucani. The life of people in these villages took place over the course of several centuries, and traces of life are still visible in some places today. Apart from the scanty information in the lists, there are no other written traces. There are only a couple of researchers who have offered some data related to this topic. The meaning of certain toponyms offers certain answers. In the memories of the oldest people of this region, there are oral traditions about some events in the past. Therefore, this work represents a research effort to discover part of the history of the Pauc area, but also, it forms the basis for future historical research.
