Summary/Abstract: Since the beginning of time, people have identified means to celebrate the special events of their lives: seasons change, moon phases, birth, death, new year, etc. Even nowadays, when the digital sector and the easy access to technology seem to have diminished our interest for keeping and engaging into traditions and rituals, we still need celebrations and social events to sustain and display our cultural and religious local identity. Romania is a country rich in traditions and customs, but, as witnessed worldwide, all of these are less practiced by the current society. Nevertheless, all this rich heritage has founded the basis of the cultural manifestations that the modern world engages in.
