Summary/Abstract: In recent years, studies of phraseological units have gained and continue to gain ground. However, this expansion mainly concerns (natural) Western languages and so-called specialty languages. In an innovative impulse,this article examines the presence of phraseological units in youngster speech in Cameroon. After an investigation in three cities in Cameroon, it is concluded that the presence of these expressions is a reality. Besides, the phraseological units are promised to a very beautiful future as long as the curve which marks their use is more and more ascending.
