Summary/Abstract: The issue of utilization of educational potential of foreign migrant workers in Czechia belongs to the insufficiently explored topics at the edge of sociology, international migration and economy. Based on availability of representative statistical data, this paper represents an initial insight into the issue of educational mismatch (and over-education in more specific terms) of foreign migrant workers in the Czech labour market. The paper focuses on mapping of the educational mismatch of tertiary educated migrant workers. The analysis reveals that the educational potential is fairly matched with job attainment for 70−80 % tertiary educated migrant workers in general; nevertheless, the rate of over-education has been growing since 2009. When comparing the educational mismatch among diverse citizenship groups of migrant workers, the differences are extreme.
