Department of Journalism in the Contents of the Questions of Journalism Journal

Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the historical process of the establishment and development of the oldest journalism school in Slovakia, which is today called the Department of Journalism of the Faculty of Arts of the Comenius University in Bratislava. The information for this paper has been based on theoretical and research studies, discussions and reports published in the professional journal “Otázky žurnalistiky” (Questions of Journalism) from its foundation to the present. The objective is to summarize the most im- portant milestones that marked the seventy-year existence of this educational and research university workplace.
