Summary/Abstract: The Czech Republic currently has 11 types of non-insured social benefits. Five different foster care benefits are not included in this contribution. With concern to the development of costs and the range of beneficiaries, it can be stated that the greatest share of benefit-based support is provided in the context of the solidarity principle to families and persons with disabilities. A significant decline is evident with concern to housing benefits. Total expenditure on non-insured social benefit systems as a proportion of GDP continues to decline steadily.
