Summary/Abstract: The Platformisation of Work study revealed for the first time how widespread new forms of work using digital technology are in the Czech Republic: almost half of the adult population (44.2%) was found to have already performed work via digital means at least once. This represents the highest proportion of the populations of the 13 countries considered. The phenomenon appears to correlate with the level of income in the respective European region. For most people, such work is performed so as to provide extra income and usually involves unskilled or less qualified activities. While the examination of platform work faces a number of obstacles, in order to adequately regulate such work it will be necessary not only to continue research in this field but also to expand it to include the quality of the work performed and the motivation of workers.
