Translation and Reception. The War as a Bridge between Cultures in Ahmed Saadawi’s Novel “Frankenstein in Baghdad”

Summary/Abstract: This study aims to examine the main problems that translators face, as well as to present key moments of the translation reception and the translation process. The article also presents conclusions reached by the author following the reading of leading works in the field of translation in Bulgaria. The book “Frankenstein in Baghdad” by Ahmed Saadawi and its imposition on the market are analyzed, reflecting on the main motives for the publication of Arabic literature in Bulgaria, the most important of which is the war theme.
