Summary/Abstract: Review of the book: Křížková, Alena − Marková Volejníčková, Romana − Vohlídalová, Marta: Genderové nerovnosti v odměňování: Problém nás všech / „Gender pay inequalities: a problem that affects us all“. Sociologický Ústav AV ČR, 2018, 188 stran, ISBN 978-80-7330-329-7 The reviewed book addresses gender pay inequalities, concerning which differences in the average wages of women and men in the Czech Republic have hovered at around 22% over the long term. The book presents an analysis of gender pay inequalities based on semi-structured interviews conducted with various actors from a range of employers' organisations and public institutions. The publication not only presents the stimuli and arguments for the creation of fair systems of remuneration, but also draws attention to the need to initiate a society-wide discussion on this topic. Thanks to both its complex analysis and specific examples, this paper is highly informative. It can, therefore, be recommended both to professionals that address labour market issues and the wider professional and non-expert public.
