Summary/Abstract: A short overview of Swedish literature’s presence in Bulgaria’s contemporary literary context. The novel “A Man Called Ove” by Fredrick Backman, as well as its’ publishing history and reception, acts as a basis for these observations. Another point of discourse is the indirect translation through English. In parallel with this, other representatives of the Swedish literature, as well their more lowbrow nature, are discussed.
