A VoxEU.org Book, London: CEPR Press, 2020, ISBN 978-1-912179-29-9 This peer-reviewed publication addresses the main topic of the current year: mitigating the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. In the form of contributions provided by leading experts, the publication's 24 chapters explain the mechanisms of the pandemic and the socio-economic implications of tackling the disease and include a discussion on the economic and social policy measures introduced aimed at counteracting the negative consequences of the crisis. It covers developments until this year´s March, at which time it was published.
