Features of Digital Twin Technology with Application in Smart City

Summary/Abstract: When using the Digital Twin (DT) technology in Smart City, some of the advantages are remote monitoring and control in real time, predictable support and planning and more. The aim of the work is to analyze the features of DT in a Smart City and, accordingly, the main features and essential accents in the practical applications of DT are considered. As a result of the work, the main requirements to DT are highlighted and grouped, as well as requirements in the aspects: economic, technological, etc. The challenges of DT in a Smart City are also discussed. The leading moments in the work are the analysis of the connection between 5G and DT in a Smart City, from two points of view: 5G as part of DT and DT on a 5G network.
