Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the possibilities, created by the new operational programme, laying the stress on science and education as factors of economic growth. Its main goals and objectives are specified. Based on a survey, carried among potential beneficiaries, conclusions as to their preparedness to apply with project proposals under the Operational Programme „Science and education for intelligent growth“ 2014 – 2020 are inferred.
