Summary/Abstract: The "Cochem practice in the Czech Republic" conference, organised by the Office for the International Legal Protection of Children, took place in Brno on 14 and 15 May 2015. As part of the project the Development of Partnerships and Cooperation of the Office for the International Legal Protection of Children in Brno established a working group the remit of which was to address the potential for the application of the German Cochem practice in cases of parental conflict with international elements addressed by Czech courts. The aim of the conference which was held as part of this project was to introduce to the expert public a model of interdisciplinary professional collaboration connected with finding solutions to marital discord known as Cochem practice (or the Cochem model) and to initiate discussions aimed at introducing Cochem principles into the Czech environment.
