Summary/Abstract: The standard of social services provision is safeguarded in the Czech Republic by a system of inspections. There has been a systemic change in this area since 1.1.2012. Specifically, the agenda has been transferred from the regional authorities to the regional branches of the Labour Office of the Czech Republic. The powers of the regional Labour Office branches in this area ended as of 31.12.2014 and from 1.1.2015 inspections were brought under the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic. It is therefore appropriate to evaluate the inspection work of the Labour Office during this three-year period.
