Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to investigate the use of e-learning in the teaching of physics and informatics at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek from the viewpoint of students. The study also sought to examine students' motivation for e-learning and their attitudes towards the implementation of ICT in the teaching process. According to the majority of respondents, both courses are usually conducted in the traditional manner enhanced by the use of ICT. However, advanced forms of e-learning are significantly more represented in the teaching of informatics. The research further revealed that students generally accept e-learning and consequently perceive it positively. They also agreed that e-learning is not sufficiently applied in teaching physics and informatics and that teachers should encourage students to use ICT tools. In addition, the analysis showed that students are significantly more motivated to use e-learning in informatics lessons and that they would have considerably more problems if physics lectures were held entirely online. The results of this study contribute to a better understanding of the implementation of e-learning in Croatian universities.
