Summary/Abstract: The impact of Industry 4.0 on the transport and energy sectors is fundamental and increasing. In the last few decades, a new era called "Industry 4.0" has emerged. It takes the digital technologies of the past decades to a whole new level with the help of interconnection through the Internet of Things (IoT), access to real-time data and therefore the introduction of cyber-physical systems. Industry 4.0 offers a more comprehensive, interconnected and holistic approach to any or all forms of production. Transport does not produce, but its product is tangible and measurable and inevitably falls within the broad spectrum of influence of Industry 4.0. The energy sector, on the other hand, is under significantly increasing expectations to ensure the well-being of humanity. The global energy sector faces a triple challenge that lies ahead in the next 20-30 years, when it must rely on new technologies and developments in Industry 4.0. It must adapt to climate change and its consequences, and it must also ensure that energy supplies remain secure and reliable. If energy supplies are interrupted or scarce, it immediately affects the economy and daily life. Achieving all of the above attracts the third pillar of effort – how to cybernetically protect all the achievements of Industry 4.0 and thus prevent their abuse, whether economic or political.
