Summary/Abstract: The article is the second part of a study devoted to the problem of abortion “on demand” on the background of comparative law. It sets out the conditions allowing abortion in countries neighboring Poland and states that in all of them, the possibility of abortion “on demand” is allowed at least in the first twelve weeks of pregnancy. It was also established that the penalization of termination of pregnancy does not affect the need to terminate the pregnancy, but it reduces the level of safety of the procedure. Therefore, as the study shows, the abortion law in Poland should allow the possibility of abortion “on demand” during its initial period.
