Summary/Abstract: The goal of human development is to create conditions for the realization of the potential of all people andthe expansion of choices for current and future generations. Human development is the process of increasinghuman values, through the expansion of human choices and the level of well-being achieved. The humandevelopment approach places the individual at the center of research, taking into account the personal elementsthat are relevant to each individual. There is a strong connection between the level of human development andeconomic growth because economic growth expands the material basis for meeting human needs. As amultidimensional concept, human development should not be equated with economic growth, because economicgrowth does not represent a guarantee of the socio-economic well-being of the entire society. Economic growthencourages human development in all its dimensions, that is it generates full employment, promotes humanfreedoms, and evenly distributes the benefits of future human development.
