Disclosure of financing of political parties and election campaigns – assessment of legal regulations and practice, as well as questions and reflections

Summary/Abstract: Regardless of the passage of time, the changing political scene and the evolution of social behaviour, the issues related to the transparency of financing politics remain extremely important, topical and worth further analysis. This is confirmed by reports of organisations, both national and international ones, judicial decisions, as well as, for example, changes that were introduced in mid- 2022 to the Act on political parties and constitute an important element of considerations in this article. The transparency of financing politics is understood and treated first of all as the transpar- ency of financing of election campaigns and the related disclosure of financing of political parties.
