Visitation of 1796 as a Source for the History of Kamianets-Podilsky Cathedral

Summary/Abstract: This publication presents the eighteenth-century act of visitation church of St. Piotr and Paweł in Kamieniec Podolski, carried out by Michał Roman Sierakowski, who, after the liquidation of the Kamieniec diocese, took over the bishopric of Latyczów, to which Kamieniec Podolski was assigned. The visitation took place in 1796. Its text includes a detailed description of the cathedral with its relics. The list of equipment was included: such as monstrances, chalices, other silver and tin vessels. A list of chasubles and other church equipment was included. In addition to the description of the cathedral, the text of the visit includes a description of other buildings belonging to the cathedral.
