As results of nocturnal imaginary, dreams obey but the random encounters of more or less disparate images, pursuing an unknown form of internal logic. The “logic” in the dream L’Enfant bleu, which is the focus of our analysis, seems to be the colour blue, which ensures the semantic cohesion of a surprising text by means of the forbidden relationships that it creates, relationships that equally highlight elements belonging to some dimensions of a different order. The reality of the “lyrical”, “hallucinating” dream encounters literary fiction, realm of the imaginary par excellence. Since between the mere transcription of the dream and the artistic invention borderlines vanish, the nocturnal and diurnal imaginary merge in the space of Yourcenarian poetic writing.
