Summary/Abstract: At the very beginning of the 17th century, a revolution began to take place in the Church, especially in the fundamental principles of female monasticism, which St. Vinko Paulski takes out of the cloister to the streets and thus goes out to meet the needs of the times. Although he dared to become a priest for the wrong reasons, he still lived it for the right reasons, and without that "impertinence" of his, the Church would be at a loss today. From Paris through Zams in Tyrol, Zagreb, Sarajevo and many other places in Bosnia to Mostar, Ljubuški, Županjec, Stolac, Kruševo... in Herzegovina, the network of his sisters of mercy successfully expanded and left a strong mark on education and culture in general. Without their cultural contribution, our Croatian people would certainly be groping in the darkness of ignorance and lack of enlightenment for a long time.
