Summary/Abstract: This paper considers basic ideas of Tolstoys teaching presented in his work What do I believe in? with references to his other writings on similar topic. Reading great novelist here becomes a chance to follow words in Russian dictionaries which have links to Tolstoys influence. Also, speaking from this perspective on Tolstoys religious beliefs expressed in nonfictional form, gives new motivation to read his unique art.
