Summary/Abstract: Contemporary critical stylistics emphasizes the important role of transitivity in the text and discourse. It can be argued that a speaker’s or writer’s choice of a verb can have important stylistic and ideological implications. The paper investigates transitivity and representing processes in general in various discourse types, both literary and non-literary ones.
