Summary/Abstract: If we had not received an invitation to the opening of the exhibition, but only read on the poster at the gallery door, we would have responded. Who wouldn't respond to the invitation that says the Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors exhibition by Merima Ivković - without feeling an intimate foreboding and trembling of the heart at the same time! We were disturbed by the mysterious, ambiguous content of the title. What do you and I know about our ancestors? It is about those of our ancestors from historical analysis who were captured and separated from us for a whole century and alienated. Those who knew it or participated in it, died long ago.
