About some specific moments when conducting an exploration interview with victims of rape

Summary/Abstract: By properly conducting an intelligence interview, the facts and circumstances relating to a given crime and its commission can be established. This is of extreme importance for conducting operational-search activities to identify the perpetrator and uncover the crime. It is necessary to note that the conduct of the intelligence interview for individual types of crimes, from the composition of conventional crime, is characterized by some specific features. For example, when conducting an intelligence interview on rape, this specificity stems from the fact that, by its very nature, this is a crime committed only against women and, in addition to physical, it also causes extremely severe psychological trauma. Often, the consequences of the experience can remain in the victim's mind for the rest of her life. These features suggest a more specific way of conducting the intelligence interview, in which the operative needs to approach with extreme care and tact, taking into account the emotional and physical state of the victim, in order to establish all the facts and circumstances related to the crime of rape and its perpetrator. In this article, some specifics of conducting an intelligence interview with rape victims will be discussed.
