Summary/Abstract: The main objective of our work is to describe the morphosyntactic features of Forro Creole, spoken in SãoTomé and Príncipe, using a corpus that includes materials collected during fieldwork in February 2016, such as written records of various texts belonging to the São Tomé oral tradition. We are interested in analysing the processes of expression of TMA (time-mode-aspect) relations, number and gender marking, and verbal serialization. In addition, we want to highlight some aspects of the spelling and make some comparative observations with Cape Verdean Creole.
