Summary/Abstract: Through this work, we want to give an idea to elementary and secondary school mathematics teachers how to motivate students and interest them in the mathematics class using the BreakOut box on the example of the educational game "hacker attack" and to point out the importance of a different approach to the processing of teaching content. Research shows that children are largely mathematically illiterate, that children are not taught to think critically, they do not have developed logical thinking, and we hardly have a problematic approach to organizing classes. Everything mainly boils down to the frontal form of work. The authors of this paper use the BreakOut EDU box in their teaching practice and in this paper present a proposal for creating activities. BreakOut EDU is based on learning by solving puzzles, finding combinations and unlocking padlocks. There is a physical and digital version of the platform, which is based on the "Escape Room" mode of operation. At the beginning, a story that presents a problem situation is connected by clues and the discovery of secret keys, and the students solve tasks in teams and come to a solution. The ultimate goal is to unlock the box and retrieve the key or solution contained in thebox.
