Summary/Abstract: Aleksandar Reša Radović (1876-1942) Belgrade actor, who, at the age of eleven performed on the National theatre stage for the first time and became its temporary member in September 1894. He was in the Serbian national theatre, in Novi Sad, for one season, then in traveling companies. In the National theatre in Belgrade, he performed in 85 plays from 1908 to 1911. He was imprisoned for three years (1904-1907) because of falsifying documents. He spent the First World War as a soldier, in 1918 he was in Corfu in the "Orpheum" by Brane Cvetković. Between the two world wars, he played occasionally in Bitola and travelling troops. In 1938. he was an author of a pamphlet brochure against oppsition leader Milan Grol. During the German occupation, he took refuge with a relative near Mionica, where he was shot by Chetniks in November 1942. under unexplained circumstances. Numerous questions of the controversial personality of the actor, convict and publicist remain unanswered.
