Summary/Abstract: The war in Ukraine brought back into the debate aspects of a very old is sue, but unjustifiably ignored in the last decades: the need for peace, felt by mankind in all ages versus the atrocities of war, which periodically alternate with times of peace, stability and prosperity in the lives of peoples. In the interwar period, Romania was one of the most active supporters of the European stability and order established by the Versailles treaties, both by developing concepts and participating in scientific debates regarding the peace and war, as well as in terms of political-diplomatic concrete actions initiated in international relations.
