Summary/Abstract: The present study concentrates a synthesis on the lyrics of Arcadie Suceveanu, a Bessarabian poet who asserted himself in the 70-80s and man aged to build rather a bridge between romanticism and modernity, putting an important emphasis on the construction of the imaginary, leaving sentimentalism behind, but not as a term of opposition, but as a pretext for poetry’s leap into modernity.
