Summary/Abstract: In order to analyze the biblical quotations from Romanian medieval popular books, it is necessary to adapt the theoretical tools to the particularities of the texts. In the popular novel ”Alexandria”, more important than identifying the origin of the biblical quotations is the attestation of these biblical elements in various forms and underlining their contribution to the construction of the portrait of Alexander the Great.
