Summary/Abstract: The sermon contributes to the continuity and unity of the Romanian language and proves to be present in all the important moments of life, and the biblical quote gives it authority. This paper presents the way in which biblical quotations are inserted in different sermons preached in churches of Bessarabia in the 19th century and preserved in manuscripts.
