Summary/Abstract: The two authors, who have been participating for a few decades in Bible translating projects from Greek and from Hebrew into Romanian, are also interested in similar efforts carried out in Romania over the last hundred years; they are curious about the solutions found by others working in the same field. In this paper they wish to signal some of the main challenges and pitfalls that await any contemporary translator of such a text. References are made to solutions and not to translators; since they have a practical character, the paper had to tackle them in Romanian.
