Summary/Abstract: This paper presents an important personality of Romanian classical philology. Professor Mihaela Paraschiv is a complex personality that combines linguistic rigor with a special literary sensibility. The article lists all the fields in which this professor from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași asserted herself. I emphasize that she made important contributions of a linguistic nature, she analyzed important aspects of ancient literary works and of Italian and Romanian humanism and made numerous translations from ancient Greek and Latin for the first time in Romanian. At the same time, she carried out an exceptional didactic activity, some of her former students becoming personalities in the field of classical philology.
