Summary/Abstract: Boris Eifman’s Red Giselle and Maurice Bejart’s Nijinsky, Clown of God are not biographical stories, but an artistic reading of time, society and circumstances that led to the madness and premature termination of the careers of Olga Spesivtseva and Vaclav Nijinsky. Apart from the direct parallel between their similar destinies, the connection between man and society is also sought; art as communication / and a gap / between the performer himself and his roles.
