Summary/Abstract: The author of the article explores the evolution of management-oriented approach to the formation and implementation of competitive advantages of firms, pays special attention to finding sources of uniqueness – goods and services, methods of doing business, managing the development of the firm. The author proves that the creation of competitive advantages is a special management activity, formulates management recommendations for the implementation of competitive strategies in the “new normality” and global challenges, in particular in wartime.
